SHARON AI is Australia’s leading sovereign Neocloud and NVIDIA Cloud Partner.

We design, build and operate large-scale CPU and GPU infrastructure hosted in Australian data centres, on Australian soil. Our platform enables AI training, inference and high-performance computing workloads for enterprise, research and government customers requiring secure, high-performance and sovereign compute capability.

As we continue scaling our AI infrastructure footprint, we are seeking a Network Administrator to support the operation and continuous improvement of our production network environments.

The Role

This role is responsible for maintaining and optimising high-performance data centre networks that underpin Sharon AI’s GPU clusters and cloud connectivity.

You will operate within production environments where performance, resilience and security are critical. The role spans cluster networking, cloud interconnects, infrastructure expansion and security posture management.

This is not a corporate IT role. It is a production infrastructure role supporting AI-scale compute environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimise customer GPU cluster networking environments.
  • Support and manage public cloud network integrations and private interconnects.
  • Operate and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS and network access control systems.
  • Monitor network health and respond to operational alerts.
  • Support high-performance switching fabrics and routing environments
  • Roll out new network infrastructure across data centre environments
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, latency and performance issues in production
  • Implement redundancy and high-availability network configurations
  • Contribute to capacity planning and performance optimisation
  • Advise on network security issues and maintain awareness of relevant CVEs
  • Collaborate with operational and engineering teams on troubleshooting and design

Skills & Experience
We are seeking a technically strong operator with experience in modern data centre networking environments.

Required Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience across switching and routing platforms including NVIDIA Mellanox / Spectrum, Cisco, Juniper and Mikrotik
  • Strong understanding of eBGP, EVPN, ZTNA, IPv4 and IPv6 networking
  • Familiarity with AWS Direct Connect and Azure ExpressRoute
  • Strong Linux operating system and networking stack knowledge
  • Exposure to virtualisation and container networking (KVM, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience implementing high-availability and resilient network architectures

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting AI or HPC networking environments
  • Exposure to high-throughput or low-latency switching fabrics
  • Multi-data centre infrastructure experience
