As we continue to scale, we are seeking a technically strong and commercially minded Technical Accountant to join our finance team. This role will play a key part in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and compliance of Sharon AIโ€™s financial reporting across a complex and fast-growing environment.

Working closely with the CFO and broader business, you will help establish scalable accounting frameworks across revenue recognition, infrastructure capitalisation, leases, financial reporting and operational finance processes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex accounting challenges while partnering with operational and commercial teams in a rapidly evolving technology business.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

  • Own revenue recognition policies across SaaS and usage-based commercial models
  • Determine accounting treatment for capital-intensive infrastructure including GPU hardware and data centre environments
  • Prepare and review technical accounting papers for complex transactions and commercial arrangements
  • Support month-end and year-end reporting processes with technical accounting inputs and adjustments
  • Lead audit readiness activities and act as a key contact for external auditors
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, controls and reporting frameworks
  • Partner with finance, commercial and operational teams to provide accounting guidance on new initiatives
  • Assess accounting implications of new products, customer contracts and commercial models prior to launch
  • Support finance systems and process improvements to ensure scalability and reporting accuracy
  • Monitor and implement changes to accounting standards and reporting requirements

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)
  • 4โ€“8 yearsโ€™ experience in technical accounting, ideally from a Big 4, mid-tier or complex commercial environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience interpreting and applying accounting standards to real-world business scenarios
  • Strong written communication skills including preparation of technical papers and policies
  • Ability to work collaboratively across both finance and non-finance teams
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong ownership and accountability
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Exposure to US GAAP or multinational reporting environments is highly regarded
